I know You're There! By Casting Crowns..... .. .. .... ...

As the youtuber has disabled the "embedding" option... I am unable to include the actual "production", however, I'll share the link anyway... it's that nice! (And, I'm sensitive to the youtuber's reason for not allowing it to be embedded... there are always reasons behind such choices, and some youtubes have very personal reasons behind them.)

The beach shots and content are stunning reminders to me of my years growing up along Chesapeake Beach, in Virginia Beach... as well as every special beach I've had the joy and pleasure of visiting. My heartfelt hope and prayer is that one day to have a home on a beach again. It's just a dream and part of me I can't let go of. Just never felt led to let go of it. And, I don't give up hope easily!

The words of the song aren't for anyone in particular, but for *every* person who has ever touched my life in unique and special ways. Those are the people I'll remember forever. Family, best friends, friends, once co-workers, customers, clients... my readers here rest assured are included. As well, as those God allowed me to serve, or make a little difference. It's also to new friends and divine connections I know will be coming my way. Some already are.

This entry is also for my sister, Grace aka Gay, whose 66th birthday would have been tomorrow. Her life and loss made a huge impact on my life. Yet, I know she's still here with me, and one day I'll get to see her again. Thank the Lord for that assurance for those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior.

As you play the youtube, be sure to scope in on the words. And, please oh please... set it to hi-def. For the few semi-net-savvy (and I know who you are)... just click the words below... it's a link! It really really is! Ha!

I Know......... by Mercy Me

For me, it's been about over coming my past and probably some fears, as well. Whether my readers believe in God or not, He spoke to me miraculously one day using this song and I will never forget it as long as I live. There's a story, but one so special, only a few have I shared it with... in essense He reached out to me, and I reached back. I've passed this song on to several I hope will feel Him reaching His hand toward theirs...

... just felt appropriate to share the beautiful song today ...
it's a song of hope and of healing and of love
God's Love

To my ~A1~ and 4KT2, her friend...

and for the girl just diagnosed with the brain cyst -- the one so close to one of my loved one's heart, as is her precious daughter (the little mint eater)... your name has been written on my whiteboard left handed. Which means, we'll be praying for you down here in NC.

Actually, this youtube is for anyone anywhere who needs a boost!!

I LOVE this video!! Such an inspiration the "maker" is... sometimes it's the simplest and most easy things that can make a difference.

(~A1~ this video is pretty much what's been happening to me... it can happen to you, too!! I've have all ideas you're on the path already. And, I know you've seen the change in me -- good changes. Good changes can happen in you, too. God has a plan for your life, ~A1~ -- never forget it. I'm finally realizing mine and somehow the "E" or whatever it is I have, is bringing it to fruition. Since you find the youtubes helpful, I'll be adding more in between my usual postings. I want this to be a safe haven for you and a place of encouragement and peace. I'm going to start using a label ~A1~, so you can pull them up in a group whenever you need to and easily skip through my yacking about me. Going to go back to add labels to the others, too. Fortunately, there are many wonderful youtubers out there who feel led to create these wonderful videos, so it's not something I plan to do anytime soon -- I'm feeling led to video other stuff, which if it were my choice, I'd pass, but feel so led to, I must. Whew! Kinda scary human thought, but not letting fear get into my "faith" walk.)

"Deep water faith in the shallow water..."

It's a line from Casting Crown's... Somewhere in the Middle...

And... my favorite line because I've spent much time in and on the water while growing up, so it's an easy visual for me. Not only because of my time on the water but due to an experience. Part of which I'll only share here... trust me, the hard part of that day, I'm keeping to myself. Still so vivid and it was tough on my mother, too.

First, please forgive me, because I know I said I wasn't going to say anything else about myself until I get through my upcoming MRI tomorrow and consult, but there's no avoiding it. When I feel prompted to share... to write... I must. Hey, it's my blog anyway, yes?

Now... "deep water faith in the shallow water" why does this mean something to me? It very well could be that one of the reasons I have seizures today. When I was just a girl of fourteen I was hit on the back of my head with a broken cinder block one day when I was standing about mid-waist deep in the Chesapeake Bay. For any of my readers from back home in Virginia Beach -- I was near the Amphib Base side on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel from Chick's Beach. Quite near the rocks.

In the summer growing up on Lauderdale Avenue, the Cheapeake Beach was the place to be!! Often I'd spend part of my day on Lake Chubb behind our house (although our house really fronted the lake) while the other part, I spend on the beach enjoying every bit of it possible. There were a few of us that would hang out with each other day. It was heaven! Side track -- sorry... I still miss it and in my mind see it as if it were yesterday... and in my heart, remember it that way, too.

Anyway, a girl friend, another year around resident, was just fooling around and had found a big piece of broken cinder block and didn't realize how far she could throw. Tossed it straight at me she did over something to do with my boyfriend. Whatever! If you read this Bobbi, I forgave you back then, so don't sweat it. Hug.

Well, I saw it coming, and had the presence of mind to turn around so it wouldn't hit me in the eye. Instead, it struck me in the middle of the right side of the back of my head. The dent is still there! To this day! And, at times, even after all of these years it still hurts... stings at times... then other times, it's a dull to sharp stabbing pain. No further visual or description required for the rest of that day and evening.

The really excellent news though, is that I was standing in shallow water not quite waist deep, so my boyfriend at the time could buzz through the water to me, rather than swim. And, I didn't go under the water all the way... although I was sorely dazed at the time, I didn't go fully unconscious. More than a couple miracles I had that day, if you ask me. I've had several over my lifetime, I do believe, so I know what one is... could share them all, but what would I have to write about later after Project Rewire is completed? LOL

Somewhere in the middle is where I find myself often of late...

Today it was whether to have a Peanut Butter Milkshake or eat a Panini with some Chips and a Ginger Ale. It was such a dilemma. Food always is for me, because I love food. Give me a menu and I either panic or look at it for days. Three items I don't want to see are turtle soup, catfish or game of any kind!!! Tried turtle soup years ago. Hated it because I had turtles as pet growing up and discover them along my path often... same thing with game, just love nature too much and had bunnies as pets, deer visit our yard frequently... and catfish, well, they have whiskers and remind me of my kitties. I caught many out of my backyard on Lake Chubb while growing up. Always pulled the hook out and tossed them back in... and in the event one swallowed a hook, a couple of friends I grew up with at Chesapeake Beach (boys) we always did hookendectomies to try to save the fish. Back on track... I'd not eaten much today and didn't want to kick myself into a sugared up state. I decided it was best to go with part of an enormous Italian Panini (from the Fresh Market) that I shared with my husband. He got 2/3s of it and I got 1/3. But! I also bought two cookies. A big crunchy Peanut Butter cookie and soft pillow sugar cookie with brownie as the middle pillow part. Of course, I gave 2/3s of each to my husband. But the PB cookie was pretty big, so I had plenty. Kinda wished I'd gone for that shake though! They always make me happy and what I adore about PB milkshakes is a can't drink them so fast because they're so dreamy creamy thick!

Living with Epilepsy -- with 24/7 neuro activity -- is much like living somewhere in the middle. I'm not the me I want to be... I spend much time remembering (temporal lobe issues) and when I'm not remembering... I'm trying to remember certain things... my immediate is shot to heck right now... my short term is better... my past from excellent to the hardest moments of my life are hardwired in. And, unless one lives with this stuff... it's hard to understand. For those of you... close that I love and know so well... those I don't know, but read, or maybe just stumbled upon my blog... God's and my Project Rewire... thank you for the moments you've spent here reading about my journey and viewing my photos. Even if was only a line or two, or a shot of my miracle puppy. I thank you. Lavender border around the youtube looks yucky, but it's for Epilepsy Awareness Month.

P.S. My router, I just purchased in November konked out today. Hoping to return it for a replacement tomorrow. And, my AOL email has been acting crazy, so if you've sent something to me recently and I've not responded, or I told you I was sending something to you and you've not gotten it... you know the resons. Family... you know me and I'll get back to you eventually either way!

For my ~A1~ Word of God Speak...

By Mercy Me...

We're in similar places, ~A1~, different reasons... different circumstances... but our hearts are in the exact same spot. I am very proud of you for reaching out to your friend... timing was perfect. And, you followed God's leading. He is smiling because of it.

Oh Grace! It's a new day...

Even though here on the East coast of the USA it's still dark outside, I see light... light beaming from a beautiful photo hanging on my bedroom wall taken by my cousin with me in mind during a hike on Mount Rainier in Washington State. It's a stunning shot taken at dusk with the silhouette of a giant Douglas Fir on the left side with its limbs reaching towards the setting sun as if to say goodnight... "looking forward to seeing you almost this same time tomorrow at dusk". See my cousin knows, dusk is one of my favorite times of the day. Just as my husband knows I love to watch the sunrise and the crash for awhile afterwards. There's a reason for that but sparing everyone from extraneous Project Rewire "cause" chat in this blog post. Hey, I heard everyone say "yay!"... LOL!

Now, what's unusual is when I see that light reminds me of God's grace... something I learned much about from a very special pastor many years ago. Every time I play one particular song by Mercy Me... I always think of that special pastor -- he had both the heart and eyes of Jesus. And, both he and his wife's hands were always outstretched to their
parishioners giving light to their lives, sowing good good stuff into them. I've never forgotten their kindnesses to me. I learned much about going through difficult times back then, some of my most difficult ever... but that pastor and his special wife gave me a certain type of caring that helped me tap into God's strength. Strength I've remembered quite often in dealing with every battle I've ever experienced since.

Grace was also the name of my sister, although we called her Gay and she had a temper... grace she had all about her. She was one special person!! Ten years older than me, but she didn't care. She took me almost everywhere with her.

Grace is also a gift I ask God for almost daily... not the kind He freely gives to us... but the kind I want to give to others a special "human grade" God kind of grace... I refuse to let anything else get in my pathway to it... with grace in hand, operating in my life... there is nothing on this planet I can't get through... the same goes for my readers, too... family, new or old friends, acquaintance or stranger... it doesn't matter.
God's grace is at hand... Grace Abounds!

Here's a youtube of the song I mentioned above... one day, I will make my own, that'll be the first thing I do once I get typing on this MacBook down!
